A bell siphon is an effective and nearly fail-proof way to flood and drain your media beds. It has no moving mechanical parts which means you will have less to worry about when creating your backup systems.
There are several variations to a bell siphon including:
- External/remote siphons which are outside of the media beds providing more growth area and easier access to the actual siphon.
- Mega siphons which are large external siphons designed to drain several media beds at once.
